Baby Chicks

Sunday, April 12, 2020

Since we are home bound during Covid-19 we decided we might as well foster some baby chicks. I’ve always wanted to do it .... and now seemed like a good time. We bought the little chicks from Great Country Farms and picked up the necessary accruements to keep them alive - mainly a little warming plate.

They are adorable and so far so good.  They are already two weeks old. We named them after women country singers and we have an odd ball name as well. Dixie, Dolly, Kasey and Omelette.  Omelette already had something I researched on YouTube called “poppy butt” - lol. So Dan had the honor of performing poopie butt extraction.  Gross!!  But how Omlette is happy and pooping freely again.
