With all the 'talk' about saving money and being frugal in these difficult economic times, I thought I would once and for all try to make sure I was using coupons for grocery shopping. I do love coupons, but for some reason, I never fully utilized them in food purchases. I also would just go to one store, no matter what those sales fliers would say. Well, in the spirit of being frugal, I decided to find out what grocery stores offer the best coupon deals. Here's the run down for several grocery stores in my area:

Wegmans - double coupons up to .50 every day
Giant - double coupons up to .50 every day
Shoppers - double coupons up to .50 every day
Safeway - double coupons up to .50 every day
Harris Teeter - double coupons up to .99 every day (but limit to 20 coupons)
Bloom - this weekend only they are offering triple coupons up to .99 (limit 20 coupons).

So hmmm, perhaps I'll be visiting Harris Teeter more often and Bloom this weekend.

Hey a penny saved is a penny earned, right?

Edited -- ran to Bloom tonight with 5 hours to spare before the triple coupon deal was over. I saved over $45 by using coupons....so cool!

I've been a coupon clipper for years. Everyone makes fun of me but I don't care. I save so much, especially when I combine them with what's on sale in the circular's. I'm such a dork.
