Olivia has a pen pal through Compassion International. Her pen pal is from India and we were a bit behind in our letters to her, so we packed up some paper/pens and headed out to the creak in our back yard. It was nice for about 10 minutes, then we decided it was too hot and too buggy - well we tried at least; so instead we came home and finished our letter at the kitchen table (thank goodness for air conditioning). Which actually brought up a great opportunity to talk to Olivia about how blessed we are to have a place to go that is cool compared to where we imagine our pen pal in India is growing up in! It's nice to have opportunities for some perspective!
