Old Rag Mountain

Before Olivia, Dan and I hiked Old Rag a couple of times.  It's an intense, but very fun hike as you basically boulder and scramble your way over huge rocks up to the 'bird's nest' point at the top of the mountain.  We were waiting for Olivia to be old enough to handle the hike, well this past Saturday was the day.  We had a great time and Olivia did awesome.  Several other hikers remarked how well she was doing for such a little girl.  She did manage to have a slight breakdown on the way down as she kept bumping her head and scrapped a knee and elbow that put her over the edge at one point.  But she calmed herself down and carried on.  We were able to get off the rocks right as a huge rainstorm hit ... so the last hour hike back to our car was in the rain - not too much fun, but it certainly was an adventure!
