The other day, Olivia had a bunch of questions about where 'meat' comes from. I couldn't bring myself to tell her the 'truth' about where hot dogs and hamburgers really came from. Believe me, I tried, but as I started to explain that meat is from dead animals...I caught myself, thinking if she knows this now, she will never eat animal protein again. So, I quickly changed the subject. I'm glad this technique still works! For now, she knows that hot dogs come from pigs and hamburgers from cows....but I think she thinks they just 'come' out of them...which is way more 'disturbing' than the truth...if you ask me!
