Getting ready for 8:00 am mornings...

Friday, August 22, 2008

At Olivia's Kindergarten open house night, we learned that she needs to be in school at 8am sharp to start the day. We are a little bit nervous about making that happen in our household, given the fact that we don't even get up until 7:30am now. It's going to be a big change for all of us to have to be at school by 8am, or really, by 7:50am so she has time to get settled (hang up coat, backpack, say good-bye to Mommy, etc...).

I found these on the "Let's Explore" blog (see list to the right for link) and I think it's a great idea. They are door hangers that lists what your child needs to do in the morning and at night to get ready is really cool. I think I'll try to make one next week...to help us prepare for the transition. September 2nd, here we come...bright and early!
