Compassion International

I've been wanting to sponsor a child (with Olivia) for a long time.  Tonight I finally got around to doing it.  I explained to Olivia that we were going to 'adopt' a child.  This involved lots of explaining that no, this child isn't going to live with us, but we were going to help her grow into a healthy, educated and strong young woman. 

So Olivia decided she wanted to sponsor a 7-year old girl from India.  We searched on Compassion International for the child that 'connected' with her.  She found a little girl named Anusaya Damu Korda from India.  She's very excited to start writing her letters.  It's an important lesson for Olivia to learn - she really has no clue how lucky she is.
